Micaela Kwiatkowski

Secretary

Micaela Kwiatkowski is an LGBTQ+ jewellery artist from Vancouver, BC. Micaela spent several years working in the art world as a curator and public programmer while falling in love with jewellery making. She spends her evenings and weekends creating jewelry, experimenting with different materials and processes, and has recently been playing with various stone-setting techniques. She is inspired by nature, feminist and queer art movements, and storytelling. She works with various jewelry-making approaches, including hand fabrication, wax carving, etching, and casting. She has an MA in Contemporary Art from SFU and a BFA in Visual Art from UBC.  She has worked at organizations including the Morris and Helen Belkin Gallery, Gallery Gachet, and the late Satellite Gallery. She currently works at Emily Carr University in their Teaching and Learning Centre.
